Congratulations to the Chiefettes on their accomplishments at UDA summer camp at Auburn University!
The Chiefettes received a superior trophy for earning ALL blue ribbons in their routine evaluations. The Chiefettes won 1st place in the home routine competition out of 7 Varsity teams. This marks the 4th year in a row the Chiefettes have won 1st place in the home routine competition. The Chiefettes were also awarded a spirit stick each night of camp, and won the Leadership Award which is voted on by all the teams at camp. Monica Schwingshakl was awarded the Drill Down Queen trophy for being the last one standing out of the 200+ campers! Madeline Davis, Larissa Romanow, Maggie Plunkett, Cortland Anderson, and Monica Schwingshakl aslo received the Full Out Award for their innovative choreography and formations for Team Routine during evaluations. Cheyney Smith, Larissa Romanow, Nati Arenas, and Yorubah Banks were selected as All-Americans. August Anderson and Larissa Romanow also received the "Pin It Forward" award from the camp staff and fellow campers for their hard work and leadership. The Chiefettes won a bid to the National Dance Team Championship which they will attend in February 2012.

And finally, after sweeping State, finishing first in High Kick, Pom, and all three soloist categories, the girls were again featured in The Citizen on 2/26/2011 capturing front page status!
Congratulations to the Chiefettes who placed an outstanding 7th in the Nation for their High Kick routine at the UDA National Dance Team Championship! This is the Chiefettes' highest National Ranking in the history of their program.
